Default AE SC10.2 vs Losi 22sct vs Kyosho SCR SP

I need some help picking between these trucks. My friend has a SCR SP with pretty much all the options on it and the velvet shocks. I like the 22sct and the AE comes with some options. Even tho the Kyosho is older is it still competitive?
Any suggestion or help will be appreciated. I'll attach a picture of my friends truck.

Use this thread http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...you-going.html neither is really better, just different. So asking which to get is pointless,as a truck that works for somebody else may not work for you. Research a little, go drive each if you can, and then your decision will be made for you, by you. (Pick the one you feel comfortable with)

Just from a "quality" standpoint, the scr sp has the other two beat.

You cannot go wrong with the TLR SCT22. There's even factory guys on the 22SCT thread posting up setups and helping people dial in their truck. I love mine.

They are all competitive with each other on the track. Here are the Pro/Cons of each (in my opinion)

SC10.2
Pros - Price, parts availability, setup help online, lots of people run them, simple design, lightweight
Cons - Fit and finish, fragile if you crash a lot, can't run mid with kit

TLR 22 SCT
Pros - Price, Parts availability (usually), setup help online, lots of people run them, tough, can run mid
Cons - heaviest of the three, somewhat complicated

Kyosho SCR
Pros - Best shock package, lightweight, setup help online, simple design, fit and finish
Cons - Hard to find kits, Parts availability (can be good in your area though), Not as many people run them, can't run mid

There are other pros and cons, but I think I covered most of the major concerns. If I were just starting out, I would lean toward the SC10.2. If you are seasoned and you want to run something different, the other brands are there. Others may disagree, but for a first truck I don't think you can go wrong with the SC10.2. Especially for stock classes. I would factor in parts availability as your primary concern.

Ok I'll have to check them all out. The only thing that's turning me away from the 22 is the steering rack then to upgrade it's like $70. I'll prob just stick with SCR SP it has all the options, the AE is a great truck just haven't seen it in person. Well thanks for the comments.

Thats georges truck right?

if so then its highly competitive he is one of the fastest 2wd racers around here. 99% of the time he is on the podium with that truck against all brands in expert class That being said as an onroad guy you know driver is a huge part. I have the same truck with same mods for the most part and i am top 4 driver also in sportsman. the kyosho is great for putting power down and its extremely plush suspension

Madera Hobby stocks parts for it locally, what he doesnt have in stock he can get in 3 days or less. Also amain stocks parts for it. luckily though that truck has all the bling/upgrades anyone could want

You don't need the steering up grade for $70 . Just put the 22 2.0 rack on it. $11 and get the low profile ball studs $5 . I don't see what the whining is about it. Both of mine stear great and I'm fast...

In my experience the Kyosho is better for a more technical smoother driver while the SC10 can be pushed hard by a aggressive driver. So its up to your driving style.

I dont know anything about the losi.
