As a rule, the track is full of people that know each other and will watch for anything out of the normal. If you do not have trust for this for any reason (and there can be some real reasons in this world) then I would suggest you pit from your car and only bring in what you need to run or tools etc as needed.

After all, how hard would it be to walk off with a whole bag or roll out a whole box if they were going to steal at all?

I have a 02 vw jetta and it fits in my trunk, maybe that can give you a reference point on the size.

I am always scared of someone stealing my stuff but for some reason I do leave my stuff unattended all of the time and have had no problems. Though if i am leaving for a longer period of time I take all expensive items.
