As suggested check your servo saver. The heavier tires could easily be overwhelming the servo saver.

As with all RTR cars and trucks the best investment is a digital radio and high torque servo. With these upgrades you should have no trouble using the larger tires. I do however suggest that you adjust your gearing to compensate for the larger roll out. Over geared cars will put unnecessary strain on you motor and speed control.

traxxas servo savers are non adjustable, they just use the horn type. You can just replace it with a straight horn, or a high torque servo saver.
