So I'm confused... Yes there was ball diffs for the S10B like 2 years ago. I have not seen any ball diffs since then.. Your buggy has ball diffs?

Rick - read his post and check the photos. He bought a used car that appears to be an upgraded V2 perhaps. He has said ball diffs several times I don't think there's any confusion here.

wow ... I never thought that I would confuse you guys .. I have only been racing since Dec. and I found something that stumps the "pros" just a friendly dig... I had to take apart the rear end yesterday because the back end was locking up ... come to find out that it has the gear diffs in it but the spare diffs that came with the car are ball diffs ... this why I asked the questions in the first place .. I figured if they were spares the same would be in the car but to my surprise there are gear diffs in the car. the actual problem was the bearings .. they were in need of replacement .. fixed them and now the car runs great ..until my oldest ran into it with his SCT and broke the front a-arm .. now we have to order parts again

I bet the original car came with the ball diffs and the previous owner "upgraded" to the gear diffs.

The gear diffs in my car have been rock solid for over a year so that would be the reason to run them over the ball IMO. Way less hassle.

I'm attempting to install a center diff in my S10B. It looks like it can be pretty straight forward IF I can find a Center-Front CVD that is 5-10mm longer. Does anyone know if this is readily available? Thanks

my guess is your installing a gear diff instead of a slipper ... you need to know the length if no one has done this .. it makes it easier to find one that fits

Find out what center cvd rcmayor was using for his +8mm chassis that should be the length you need

You guys might be interested in having a look at this!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1613514506...84.m1586.l2649

This is the V4 prototype test mule I've been running this year. It is basically a V3.5 with a longer, adjustable length (0 - 12mm) chassis and a few other work in progress ideas!

As you can see from the listing, there's a heap of spares - Geared diff, ball diffs, arms, CV's of various lengths, casings and a myriad of other stuff! Shipping to the USA (or wherever) might be a bit expensive, but you might think it worthwhile for this one off prototype!

Loads of pictures on eBay!

I am considering this buggy as my next purchas, until Hobby Pro comes out with one that is. I currently run a Sworkz S104. I have owned a Team C T4 V3 and a Durango dex410 v3. just curious as what breaks the most, and what spares should i keep.

The only thing that really ever breaks is front arms like any other car, The car has a lot of aluminum so really it is a strong buggy... Here is a video of a old team driver, driving upset trying to break it and didn't lol.. So for spares I always recommend 1 bag front arms, 1 bag f & r arms, center slipper kit so you will have a spare center shaft and spur and rims for tire choices
