My son has around $110 that he wants to spend on a motor/esc for his losi 22. He plans on doing some racing with it. If he gets a motor that is rated in kv instead of turns, how do they place you in a class? Thanks

I would get a hobbywing, or a dtx de10( super programable, i have one in each of my 22s super smooth!

You want one rated in turns, if you ever plan to race. For racing the stock class you will need a 17.5 turn motor, and an esc. For 110 you will either need to look used, or look into a hobbywing juststock combo in 17.5 (whick I think is about 120) and Is a verypopular blinky stock combo.
