google.com.....

My LHS has about the same price as A-Main/Stormer/Tower. Unless your are buying used, prices only tend to be about $1-2 different. Get the coupon codes and go from there.

in the for sale section! I have seen a lot of tires in there. Seems that people use a tire, see it doesn't work for them, and sell it. Or just want a different pattern or compound, and sell the tires.

Amain usually has some good buys. Otherwise Ebay.

I would check locally first. Most of the time the LHS is only a couple bucks more expensive than the big websites, with the added benefit of keeping the doors open at the place you race or a place that supports racers, as well as the satisfaction of having your tires in your hands as soon as you buy them. If you don't see what you want at your LHS, most of the time you just have to ask and they will order it, and if it moves fast enough it may become a regular item.

If you are going to order online and aren't looking for other parts at the same time, check the manufacturer's website for deals. Panther tires ran a special on their website a while back with a large discount on bulk orders (>$50 or something), and I frequently see single tread patterns or compounds on sale.

A lot of times you can get stuff at the local shops cheaper to be honest. I bought my sons RTR slash with 4100 lipo and orion charger for $307 out the door. That was as cheap as anywhere online. Not to mention I got it the same day. Also supporting the local guys.
