Good first day with the B5M on an outdoor 1/8 track.

Gast lap of the day was a low 38 by Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy, fastest 4WD SCT lap was a 41.2 by my buddy who is a Proline driver and one of the fastest locals.

I pulled a 41.4!

My run in the main would have theoretically put me third in the 4WD SCT A Main...

so after trying the plier trick to free up my ball cups which worked some, i tried using a rotary tool with the ball stud still in the cup for 5 to 10 secs and this freed them up much more.

Anyone have experience with the hobbywing 3.1 and v10 combo? Never ran 10th buggy but everything is mod around here so I need some recommendations.

I bought some B5r arms and was looking at replacing, but once swapped left for right they look exactly the same. Are B5 and B5M rear arms exactly the same but with R and L reversed?

No, the B5r arms will give you a shorter wheelbase.

Yes,

I run V3.1 with the V10 10.5 Turn on small technical indoor track and V10 8.5 on all the other tracks. On the larger indoor track I run I may try the V10 7.5 for a little more power if needed, but can't go wrong with this combo in mod.

I'm running a Viper 6.5T in mine. Will wheelie if I have the traction and slipper on the tight side haha!

Makes sense- I was primarily thinking of the car while jumping and in the air. So in your experience did the 3 gear mid-motor torque the car rearwards for on power push?

Just for the F-of it I bought a B5R with everything you could imagine just to try out to see if I really liked MM beter. It was interesting. My track has incredible traction. Its sugared bluegroove. It was 95 today. Days like this any tire will work. I ran th B5R and was able to run the exact same fast laps but had to drive the wheels off of it. I found the MM car to be much easier to drive and I was way more consistent. The rear motor car is well under 1500 grams while the MM is 1550 or so. I ran the same tires, motor, ESC....I tried hard to get them even. Both wheelied at the start.....etc etc. Once you learn to drive MM I just do see while you'd drive an RM car.

I just wanted to share. I've been doing a lot of testing. I also found that I'm .4 faster with my B5M than my RB6M.

Post #8266 shows they will be ok. I took them off just to be safe when I switched my car over. 13.5 "superstock" is really fun. I'm looking forward to racing that class this winter.

I run a 1258tg in all my rigs. Very fast and plenty reliable in my opinion. Never had an issue. I run a M12 radio and have to turn it down most times cause it's too fast.
