Jonathan
That's almost enough brass to qualify as a MM 22

I personally have a different solution for conditions that would require that much weight...it's 1515 grams and has a motor hanging off the back...

Kidding aside, nice work

The xfactory chassis is like 70g lighter. Faster? Well it is light, so it "should" have more "kick". Locally a few drivers tried it on high bite and said it had "weird" flex. Like it would flex and snap back. Making the car well weight. But again, this is on high bite. On lower bite, I am sure that would be less of an issue.

Well, if you think about it "cherry" would still be posting on here if he just stuck to being informative instead of claiming that he is "god's gift to wrenches and solutions" all the time.

Lighter yes. Depending on surface you might run into issues. Overall its a great performer. I do no like the body mount setup on it and am trying to figure out how to go back to velcro on the sides. But in all I like the purchase. I sent some info to one of the Xfactory guys on something they may want to look into on the chassis and will see if it comes of it. Is it needed, no. You will have to change your shock setup and I have added back nearly 40g to the car.

I would think you would just mill off as much material as you are looking to move the battery back?

If you were looking to move the weight further back and are not worried about minimum weight just add weight on the back side of the brace and waterfall between the motor.

I was finally able to get my b5 feeling right for the 1st time since i started racing it this past weekend at bring the heat in flowood, ms.

I started out trying the car in MM form, however I had some esc issues to quickly switched back to the RM and made a few shock changes. From there the car was dialed in. pulled the TQ in round one and from there it was down hill. The car was fast. However, I had some issues with lappers and marshals and was only able to pull in a 4th place overall.

lol, I had a lapper punt me off the track last weekend and a marshal put me on the wrong side of the track. I feel your pain. Glad you got the car worked out

I started building my kit and the quality is phenomenal! I hate to say it but it makes my sc10.2 seem like crap.

my 1st lap in a1 was 48 seconds when my average laptime was about 28.5 seconds for the duration of the weekend.

yeah, I see people hating on this car and I like wtf. This car is a baller. Then they tell me how bad the b4,t4,sc10 are. I love it when people that never even tried the B5 bash it based on the B4.
