I either have way too much traction or not enough. I was talking to someone last night and they suggested clay slicks. They said, they just felt more consistent on the track than M4. Probably because the M4 might fold over in the corners. Also, I just wanted to show the difference of MM and RM on the same track and same layout for those trying to decide between the RM and MM cars. The RM car is still by far the easiest of the two to drive. But, if you want steering and lots of it, imo the MM is the way to go. Also, my RM buggy was 1525 without pucks and i had 20g of chassis tape on the car. My RM car is about 70 grams lighter than the MM car. If i had a shorty servo and pucks in my RM car, I would be under weight in a heart beat. Normally, when I am struggling with the MM, I throw the RM car down and its great...provided my slipper is not way off. I was slipping for a good 5 feet, lol. That is why I was having issues with jumps. My plan is to get the MM car where I want it, because it "feels" like it could be a much better car.

Just came home from lhs with a B5m. If you can't beat em, join em. What does it take to run TLR front wheels on the B5m? Hopefully not too difficult. The TLR wheel has a smaller hex.

Ok, the tlr fronts dont really work. Different hex and different offset. That being said, so guys have shimmed and used the tlr22 axles on the B5. I have not tried it, because you cant get the same offset as the B5 hexes and wheels. I suppose someone could machine a hex axle that would allow it to fit, but no idea what it would do to performance.

what are you HAing? I told him what he would have to make it work. If he has 22 axles, he can give it a shot and see what it does for him. But, yeah I prefer to keep things OEM. I guess I am just vanilla that way HA. lol

Here how i got the same offset (about 4.20mm). I had to cut and drill stock 22 hex. It feels the same as stock wheel and i can mount the tires back to back on each cars.

Your clay looks similar to our track in Vegas but ours is pretty wet. Everyone runs M4 compounds here with ions, dirt webs or my favorite now, the electron. I wouldn't sweat the M4's folding over with good AKA red foams, i run 1 degree camber and they do fine.

Cool videos. I understand you're not a factory driver. But you get around ok and give the fast guys room. It really looks like there is something wrong with your car. It looks like you can barely breath the wheel and it spins out almost. That's not right. Looks like wrong tires or something and wicked soft rear springs to try to get rear traction. I could be wrong, I'm sure you feel you are on the right tires. I see now after reading your second post talking about tires.

Well, the "new" SRS is only a couple months old. Maybe even only a month, lol. Spencer Rivkin and most of the team guys are running clay slicks. I am picking up some clay tires this week to try out. When, I was using long links , it was better imo. I plan to go back to long links and play with springs as Rick suggested. My first qualifier (not recorded) was 1 lap faster in MM. The traction was really different, because they watered right before the heat. So it was really slick at first and got a little better towards the end. My RM car was pretty good though. Aside from the slipper and running the wrong line. My RM works better on those 180 turns if I run a outside to inside line. I came in to close a few times and ruined any chance at a good time in the corner. Maybe you could hear it on the tape, but I was frustrated about the slipper. So my mind was not 100% in the race. Anyway, this is the RM thread. I like both cars. My hope to get more comfortable with the MM car. But when in doubt, the RM car is still my go to car for consistency.
