Some where in here or on facebook, they said you'll only need 1.5 and 2mm hexes and 5.5 and 7mm sockets. I think

I didnt see any 2.5mm socket head screws in the pics, but many people use that size for the motor screws. Well I do anyway. 95% of the car with be 2mm, so I would get a really good 2mm, like i said MIP. The 1.5m will be used on the hinge pin retaining screws and the bleeder screws. I will replace my 2x4mm button bleeder screws for 2x4mm cap screws. Why? More surface area and least prone to stripping the head.

From the B5M manual
Tools included:
• Allen wrenches 1.5mm, 2.0mm (replace these with drivers)
• #1113 12mm Shock Tool
• Multi-wrench (replace this with a 5.5mm and 7mm driver)

Why would you want to replace the kit allen wrenches? that takes all the fun out of stripping the heads on the screws.

Mmm that's nice to know ahead of time for people.. I stripped at least 1 screw per AE kits that I've built.. Still not sold on the buggy though There's still another two months to decide though so I'm good!

Particularly because the old topshaft was size to fit into inch bearings and the new topshaft fits into metric bearings. As for the CVA's, the new hub design houses the CVA joint and uses the bearings to capture the CVA pin.

However, any slipper related item, such as the slipper eliminator should work since all of the previous B4/ C4 slipper stuff will work on the B5/M.
Since everyone else overlooked it I'll say it, thanks Tim. See you tomorrow?

The MIP tools do look nice. Might have to check them out. Where did you find a manual with these sizes listed? On the AE site there is no manual listed for either 5 car yet?

Sorry if this has been covered but I am a bit confused on the front arms for these new cars. The pictures show the mid car to have "gull wing" arms and the rear car to have straight arms. In looking at the parts lists there are 2 different front arm parts (Part #: 91398 and Part #: 91526) plus the hard arm options. Can we assume this is a tuning option and the kits will come with both parts in each kit

Haha, no worries. Just trying to help answer questions where I can and Kody is also being more active on the forums as well to help answer questions. Bob isn't really on here but he will be racing the Reedy Race if you have any specific design questions regarding the B5.

And yes, Kody and I will be at OCRC tomorrow afternoon!
