Hmm, not bad temps at all. What is your race weight?

Not sure I haven't weighed it. I have put on titanium tb's aluminum top shaft nova slipper to lighten up the drive train but that's it for weight. Running a full size servo and aeromodel 4800 90c battery weights 255 so im guessing around 1640ish. I am running the Phantom body with all the vents cut out for airflow. I'llbe aat w3 on Friday if you wanna check it out. Car runs great now I just gotta see where to find the upgrades for the person driving it lol

cool. I have the triad slipper and Ti TBs, and the topshaft is on my to do list. I am surprised your temps were that low with a weight over 1600. Have you run this setup on W3? Curious to see if temps are lower at SRS due to less wheel spin

Each motor is different from another, and the gearing that works for me might not be best for you even if they are the same motors.
Good to know! I'm an 1/8th scale guy, so just learning the ropes on the 1/10 buggy stuff. Was just easier to play with timing on the esc. I'll put it in "blinky" mode and adjust the end bell though.

And good to know I'm geared in the proper ballpark. I'm planning to do some more testing plus minus a pinion tooth to see any gains/losses.

So far, having so much fun going so much slower than I'm used to! I'm still a full second off of the really fast guys though even on my best laps.

Not sure how I'll ever make that up with the limited time I get at the track; but I'll have fun trying!

Thanks again for your time and input.

Temps are about 5-10 less at srs. Warehouse I was coming off at 122 with my telemetry and srs it was around 112-115. My telemetry is almost always exactly 12 deg cooler than actual temps so w3 I run 134ish and srs 126ish. I was running the same gearing with my tekin rs pro/trinity 17.5 combo and was pushing 160 at w3. The hacker has really impressed me I'm running the hacker esc and motor and I have noticeably more power and much lower temps

I have ceramic diff bearings too

I am just getting my B5 put together. Drove a buddies on Saturday on a mid size outdoor track and it was very impressive for having no previous 2wd buggy experience. I like it!

TY MiCK

Only ran the springs one pack.
They seem ok, felt very similar to the Ae .
Won't know for sure with out a running in a club race next.

Most of our fast guys are using the combination I am testing.

I just finished my B5 build. Fun build everything fit, except they sent me only 3 of the 2/4 front axle spacers and 5 of the 3 spacers. Not a problem called Don at Team Associated. When the little part came in at the shop I work at, they immediately lost it; o
Getting another one sent to my house; ) This is my first buggy, I will be using a older spare Reedy Sonic 17.5 first edition and Novak Edge. and a Futaba S955 servo. Tires, J Concepts Dirt Webs gold.
I have my doubts about the Reedy/Edge and the servo's signal wire hits the servo mount, but will be good enough to get me rolling. I will be picking up an LRP 17.5/esc and a Reedy 1015 servo soon. Looking forward to my first drive, all reviews have been encouraging; )
