I run the AKA EVO series on mine, love them. Much more stable and less ballooning at full throttle.

Finishing up the body/wing on my build, and had a question: How are you guys mounting the wing, as far as which holes are you using? Do you have it further forward or further off the back? How does this affect the handling?

I'm on vacation and one of the indoor tracks is carpet. I ended with Michael schoettler's set up because tcrc is said to have very high traction. I also installed a gear diff with 3000 weight oil.
The shop carries a lot of carpet tires and they suggested dboots terabytes in either A or B compound. I ran B compound only because they were out of A.
It is very good although I wish that I had gray springs to try.
It was my first time ever on carpet so I really wasn't sure but it has been great so far.
Also, there are carpet set ups on petitrc.com.

Just converted one of my b5's to a B5M. Super easy conversion. Took about 1.5hr and it's a mid now! Anybody have a good starting set up for indoor ozite carpet? One of My local tracks just went carpet and have no clue where to start besides putting in a gear diff And lowering ride height.

Will ask Mike right now what to do & report back.

Just had a blast with my mm. We had a new track open that runs an all clay track...holy traction. I had to get a new set of tires in clay compound lol. Awesome set up at the new SRS. I sucked it up but had a blast. My normal track is medium/high traction but this clay had such good grip and my MM really came to life!
I just rebuilt my shocks a week ago with the low friction rings and I'm using the blue csi piston all I can say is wow it's crazy how much those low friction rings make a difference and I'm lovin the csi pistons if you guys haven't tried them you should. http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...ton-Set-Blue-4

If you really are talking about slow speed steering, where you aren't really talking about on-throttle, or off-throttle where weight shift comes into play... the next thing I would look at is the following:
1) Make sure you aren't running too much toe out in the front (try flat 0)
2) Static weight bias.
(edit: all this of course is assuming you are running whatever front tire/insert choice naturally produces the best traction)

I'm so confused by some of the numbers I've seen posted on gearing and timing for this buggy.
I'm at 33/69 with 25 degrees of timing via ESC not endbell. Is the B5m trans 2.6:1? If so that puts my FDR at 5.44:1 which is significantly higher than some of the setups I've seen posted. Car is coming off after 5-6 minutes at 120 degrees F. Currently running RSX and D3.5 17.5 (ya, I know the RSX is overkill but it will eventually end up in a 4wd buggy, but that's beside the point).
Any input?
