Would Aka handlebars be a suitable tire for an indoor clay track in either soft or super soft? Going to be used on my b5 of course.

what do you mean by more scrub? i just got my conversion in the mail today so I'm debating to just run rm arms or switch over the mm kit arms.

Your best bet is to go to your track and ask around for what other guys are using...At my local track, lots of guys run HB Pink Beams, SS ions and SS Suburbs, but your track conditions may be different

at my local track everyone uses dirt webs, barcodes, ions,or typos, depending on your traction level that will determine your compound

Mxracer
Just get both including Hard. Use um as another tuning option in the pit box.

When using the B5r arm you move the arms including the bottom of the shock eyes forward.
This also makes the shocks travel up & down at a steeper angle.

SCUB
The sharper the angle the shock has to travel up & down makes more scub or resistance to movement.
If you have the shock perpendicular or straight up & down ?

Makes the least scub...
or easiest to travel up & down

Not the same as PACK..

* explains why the car lands a little better with the b5r rear arm

We have used barcodes in the past. They look to similar enough tread patterns. I think I'll order some to try.

I sincerely apologize if this has already been asked in this thread, but is there any whispers of a FT b5M on the horizon? I got burned buying a B4.2 about 2 months before the B5m came out despite me poking around asking if anything new was coming. I want to buy a mid, but don't want to get burned twice. Last weekend George convinced me I need to convert to mid.. I just don't want to convert at the wrong time again.

Thanks!

If you are running stock, you will probably want pucks which are not part of ft kit. Alum top shaft may be part of kit. Slipper eliminator not part of kit. Titanium turnbuckles part of kit unless you prefer Lunsford. Believe that is about it. Everything else will probably not make that big a diff in results.

Hello everyone,
I'm getting a b5 this month, here's my electronic choice and I do need your opinions. I run on a medium sized loose and rough outdoor track.
Smc 8.5T
Smc square pack
Rs 8.5 or RSX? Think RSX so I can use it for other vehicles if I decided to sell it.
Futuna bls451
603fs
Aka 3 rib soft front tires
Pro line soft bow-tie
Aka foams.
What do you think?

Also I will be running in a few indoor tracks this year, but will worry about tires that track once I start going.

Anyone one running a 8.5 in this car? I know what the manual says, so please dont point me at it. I tried to used an avid 76 last night with a 22T pinion, and bam it wont mess up. I assume a 76/23 would mess up. I have a 21/81 in the car for now with he AE 2 pad. I would rather use my avid slipper. Anyone using the 76/23 gearing? heat issues?

Probably not. But i want to move the motor back further, hence the smaller spur. I though a 76/22 worked, but it does not. If I need a 78 for mesh, then I will pick one up tomorrow.

Hey guys speaking of tires, I'm running a indoor tight clay track with my RM and need a more aggressive steering setup. Super soft compounds are what work on it.
What front tires are you guys using that provide the most aggressive bite on indoor clay? -we can't run slicks.
