For my local indoor track, the inline shorty is the way to go. I announce races at the outdoor track in the summer, won't have time to get to race indoors. For the loose dusty outdoor I think the extra weight of the saddle pack will help. When the outdoor shuts down for winter I'll go back to the inline.

Haven't noticed is anyone trying the brass rear arm mounts and was wondering if so how they were working

Say still keep it , instead go tapered pistons & B5r rear plastic arm.

I found that the added weight was not helpful. Once the car gets to sliding. Which it will. The assed weight tends to make it harder to recover. The car seems to get dragged around by the weight. I didn't make any changes besides ride height adjustments but that's what I found. Take from this what u will.

Here's a pic with the Proline phantom body with a spray bomb paint job I did at the track. Body looks cool and I like the way it worked. Big jumps no prob. Fast sweepers no prob. Body was on point.
No idea y my pic posted upside down. Lol

I just picked up a B5M and a square pack to race Mod buggy. Anything I should be looking at adding to this buggy? I plan on racing mostly stock chassis to get the feel of it. Local on road track is gone so I got to make a transition.

Extra weight brings more grip & stability.
In this case going from a short pack to a saddle will increase the cars weight by about 2 oz .
Are u guys getting some play on the top shaft? My spur gear is moving side to side.

I think i might have found my answer in an older post... Its probably due to the QC problem with the top shaft spacer.

At first a shorty. Then I went to a square pack. I didn't like the square pack.

What pack are the factory setups calling for?

What are people finding when running the B5RM rear arms? I have both and geometry looks to be the same.

I have a lot more rear traction with the B5RM rear arms then I do with the B5M rear arms, I found using the the B5RM rear arms when the track is new and once the track breaks in and traction comes up i switch back to the B5M rear arms.
