I'm sure he was asked to because the race was at our home track (OCRC) and put on by one of his sponsors (JConcepts). Last year included Cav as well.

Trying to decipher setups for the rear aluminum uprights and alum inner camber mount. Anyone have suggestions where to start when using these? Not really seeing in setups how these can be implemented into the setup sheet. Am I missing something?

I'm in the "why bother" camp. Spoke with some long time AE team guys and they said don't even bother with the hard rear hubs, the stock ones are good. So "why bother"!

OK

Since you put it out there, which team drivers said don't bother? You may feel you are helping but in reality you are just coming off smug. I have the hubs. I am trying to see where others may start. I like vertical ball studs and was the reason I bought them. You are not using them.....see where I am going with this?

Using both alloy hub & camber mount is the stiffest.
Plastic hub & camber mount has more flex & has extra grip.

A combination like alloy hub & Hard plastic camber mount is my recommendation to start with for good traction.
Myself using the the hub with numbers facing towards the shocks & the rear inside camber hole with 3mm shim under the stud.

The main advantage to using the alloy hub is the ability to adjust the camber stud up or down depending on traction conditions.

GTI

Don't need alloy hubs , the plastic is a awesome piece.
Still, my black alloy hubs stay on my ride.

Tip: When using alloy hubs do not use the 6mm camber stud on the plastic hub.
Move up to the 8mm stud for max strength.
When tighting the set screw for suspension pin don't snug it down real tight as it can make the hub blind.

Another Fun night at W3. My car was on rails and I was very pleased overall. Me and 4-other people were door to door for a long time. So a little paint was rubbed. Made the A Main and had pretty good consistency on the laps. In Q1 I managed 16 laps, which was a first. A marshal only had to touched my car once, when a traffic punted me. It was very close to as perfect as I can drive. W3 is making it much easier to get consistent laps and work on my driving. There were 29 people in 17.5 And we had a D main. So awesome

For stock racing, I'm using a 72 benefit of running a 69 would be moving the motor back a bit, is it noticeable?
