I installed mine facing forward but not sure if that is correct.
Good question!

Everyone considered Bell town a rear motor track , still think either can get her done though.

A few keep trying rear drive here and are getting good results.

Thinking of cracking the seals today....Oman...

Good question!
Also does anyone know what holes line up with the A and B hubs or what ball stud ht to be the same as stock?

Just got off the phone with AE...

On the rear motor B5 you want the "0*" etching facing backwards (opposite for the mid-motor). Time to swap things around.

Depends who you talk to. I have decided I like the square pack. The extra weight mellowed July car out do me. I'm also not pro driver or top 3 at my track. I run mid to upper pack. So I wanted it easier to drive to help with consistency.

I would try both and form your opinions. Thats really the way to go.

Since I am being lazy and don't want to hunt thru pages of complaints about ball cups, Has anybody tried gullwing arms on their rear motor yet? After talking to Ryan Cav at the last JBRL, he made a comment that I should run them since the testing some AE guys have done has been very positive. I have the arms and a tower but only for one of my cars. I am thinking I will leave all othe geometry like I have it to see if they do make a difference, better or worse. But, any experience would be greatly appreciated.

Default B5rm vs B5m for 17.5 blink class.

I have been reading a bunch and wanted to see the benefits of one platform over the other for Blinky 17.5 class racing. I hear weight is an issue with the MM. Possible overheating because of the extreme gearing required. Has anyone really done a real comparison? Gonna pull trigger on a kit this weekend and hoping to be steered in the right direction.

Ugh...they called me back and told me otherwise. Apparently the etching needs to face the shock. So it will face forward on the rear-mount, backward on the mid-mount. Sorry for the confusion. They also shared the intent to get a quick document published online to show how the hub differences convert vis-a-vis the ball stud hole mounts and how that compares to the hub inserts on the plastic version.

Have any of you guys tried the Exotek direct mount spur / slipper eliminator?

I've heard some guys say they're great for 17.5 (which is what I run), anoyne have experience?

I run one. I like it.When it gets slick I put my Avid slipper back on. This and an alloy topshaft weight less than the steel topshaft alone, not to mention the weight of the slipper. You have to be patient with your trigger finger or this mod will hurt your lap times.

Very true! Alot of guys in mod at my track run the square or saddles but with the exact same setup my car feels lazy to me with saddles or square so i run a shorty and it feels alot more responsive to me.
