This buggy is pretty awesome. Didn't do the best on Saturday but sure didn't do my worst.

Just trying to find a balance between rear and front traction. I can get the rear traction I want, but then it pushes. Then I change up saucing and then I got my steering back, but lost rear traction.

Also sometime it seems like it wanted to spin out after landing.

Any ideas what to try?

Here is what I did from the stock setup:
flip the aluminum pieces upside down
removed the spacer on the U brace
Moved up forward
added 3mm trailing axles

On slicks w/ sauce all the way around
Low-Medium bite track (wet track)

Not going to build a kit because you don't have a shock tower. How funny. That's almost as funny as all the input you have for a car you don't even have.
I did like the wild on wild action.

If you're running mod, move the motor forward with the 78 spur. Just changing from 81/23 to a 78/22 with my 8.5. Huge difference in the balance of the car for indoor racing on grip.

This put the balance of the car right where I needed it and tweaked shocks and camber washers from there. My rear car was REAL fast even against all the mids including the b5m's.

Track where I raced last night received a delivery of b5m's. picked one up and another was spoken for when I left. I guess more kits are rolling out now.

I swapped rear arms off my B5M for part # 91412 rather than the factory 91528 and my car gained a tremendous amount of forward bite and side bite seemed to stay the same. If you do this i would suggest having something in your bag of tricks that will help you get some steering back because my car lost a little. I simply moved the battery forward and it had its steering back.

My first build. Gearing is 32/72. This is my starting point and looking forward to mods and tuning. The b5m youtube series by "CJ with Comprcc.com" was a huge help since this was my first kit and I don't know anyone who is into rc. The discussions in this forum helped too, I've read every page.

Why not build a kit right the first time?

My car still had plenty of steering after getting the rear end all squared sway (including using the B5-R rear arms). I had been resistant to say anything yet, but I actually put my gullwing arms and tower back on the vehicle (again, rear end is dialed in) and the car was still as good, possibly better. So I'll be doing some more testing now again with the gullwings.

I'd suggest leaving your battery still as far back as possible and improve the steering via another method. Try front dirt web tires if you have not. They are more aggressive.

Will the avid front hexes work with the associated b5 axle?

Vito , leave the tight turn buckles alone .
They will free up after you run & break in the car.
