Just get the SMC. You're overpaying for anything else, IMO. Lipos have the biggest and craziest of markup pricing in RC. I just got 2 SMC shortys for like $80 shipped and they are great so far

In my opinion if you aren't sponsored, or if you aren't super loyal to any one brand the SMC is not a bad choice at all. Every SMC product I own far exceeded my expectations, and the price is right.

I am assembling my car and I went to put the slipper housing into the 72 tooth spur and it doesn't fit. I took out my caliper and the spur gear measures 1.238 across inside and the plastic housing measures 1.246 on the outside. Anyone else have this fitment issue? I just want to get this car assembled but keep running into issues. First issue is I was missing one of the wing mounts. Associated took care of it and sent me a new one.

Just was checking out the Ae alloy rear hubs.

Very blue & kool.

I have ran into this issue a lot lately. Seams AE is having issues with these spur gears. The vts housing won't fit. I got annoyed and spent a few extra bucks for the jconcepts silent spurs. There much better quality all around.

Although I picked up a schelle nova slipper for my stock buggy. I like that better than any of them. I will be switching the whole fleet to the nova slipper here soon.

Just flex the spur a little as you drop the cage in it will drop snap in place

Thanks, I'm just getting back in to this after some time away. (The car/truck I had were B3/T3).

I don't have my kit yet, so I had no idea what that might be.

+1 I use this tape to hold the flybarless controller (and pretty much everything else) to my helicopters. Nothing has ever even come close to falling off or even getting loose.

The force applied to this tape on a helicopter is far more than it will ever see on a car.

Anyone got any info on the FT ball stud mount ?, its different height to the plastic one , can be mounted both ways with different results.
Just wondering what setting is the equivalent to the stock plastic one.

I tried flexing it and snapping it in there. It just wouldn't go. The parts should fit together you shouldn't have to hand fit anything.
