As far as c4 vs. b5m I choose the b5m. The c4 was good but it was just too twitchy most of the time and I crashed it a lot.

For the limited track time that I have had on the b5m my thoughts:

b5m is just all around easier to drive to me. It's feels more planted, it might be that it's a heavier car?? It has heavier shock towers and arms for durability.

IMHO

That happens to all of the rubber sealed bearings I have encountered in R/C and cycling. The rubber seals are contact seals but only very light pressure with very light grease so they have less drag. Larger bearings with rubber seals (real cars, etc.) Have much higher pressure seals and heavier grease so they weep grease at a much slower rate.

Why would AE call out the fact that the new shafts are 3mm in their write up as far as new features.

Everyone grab their calipers, because aside from what the digital read out is, when I lock em down on the 4.2's and SC10.2 shafts and move right over to my B5 they don't come close to sliding over the shaft.
Well...B4.2 shock shafts and B5/B5m shock shafts

Here are some pic's.... they are the "same" ... and these are not cheap calipers

Next thing you know, we will be all measuring shock shafts off the hobby shelf to find 4 matching ones.

Default Shock cap movement

The side x side movement of the shock cap on the composite sleeve, is integral to the design & meant to be like that... No need to cinch the nut down anymore than when it reaches the end of the sleeve.

Jason, how do you like the b5m vs your b5?

On another note, anyone from AE care to chime in and share when we can expect spare parts for our cars to be available? Id rather not park my car if something breaks...
Trust me we are doing our best to fulfill everyone's need for kits and parts.
Parts have been coming in almost non-stop since early January. The main problem is just the high demand, it's difficult to get caught up when everything is sold before it even arrives.

On the plus side the car seems to be very durable and I have seen very limited parts breakage compared to the B4.

This reminds me of everyone getting out their calipers when the D3.5 was banned...

Well I drove the Centro and the B5m last night and I can say hands down the c4.2 will forever be retired.
Question, why do the alum toe blocks not come with inserts.
