Does anybody know if the C4.2 body will fit the B5M?

Go to redrc.com, look at the Dirt Nitro Challenge report on Carson Werdimont's Mugen. He's got air dams and spoilers all over that thing, like an oval car. He's doing very well too, near the top of the order.

This is also reminding me of when we used to make 3 piece wings with large side-dams in the early 90's.

@Vegas - that Audi is to me, one of the best looking race cars out there, IMO, right up there with the GT1's of the late 90's!

As for the B5 Phantom - the one you picture I believe is the B44 version....here's the B5, in 'Audi' matt black.

The new Hard plastic is very similar to carbon on stiffness.

One of my team mates was testing the Hard rear arms yesterday, said very little difference compared to using the kit plastic arm.
Having had my hands on some of the Hard parts, they remind me of the old Losi (pre-TLR) "Graphite" pieces. To the point that it has me wondering if Associated hasn't found the exact same formulation. Those old Losi "Graphite" front arms were fantastic!

No one on here has a B5m so they can't answer that.

Has anyone used bearings from Fast Eddie Bearings? I am curious how they compare to Avid or Acer.

It *should* fit with considering the VTS Slipper is a carry-over from the B4.2. Also, Exotek's website says it will fit the B5.

bearings are bearings. I find them good. I never used avid or acer. Mind you I run on a loose dusty track all summer, so bearings are destroyed no matter what. BTW I much prefer that new body over the bulldog, reminds me of the Audi Le Mans car,

The shocks and suspension were really really good. The buggy landed the step on step off smooth and you can get back on the power faster ... The stock setup Sean had was just as good as my Centro. I know with some more laps I will be faster with the B5m. I cant wait to get the new buggy.

I was wearing him out last night, he told me I could have aspin at it afterwards as well but I didn't stick around, as you may have noticed. (I'd been up since 3:30)

Kody is still changing his setup, even between rounds. He did say that he had submitted one to be posted on the web site so look for that. Sean was running a pretty stock setup he said, he had just finished building the car earlier in the day sao he didn't have any laps on it. Sean had already modified the "91512 Front Chassis Brace" by removing the crossbrace, I didn't get a chance to ask why.

I took a long look at both of their electronics packages comparing them to what I plan to install. Both Sean and Kody the Reedy ESC, that thing is huge, bigger than my R10, but it does incorporate the on off switch, both are running newer Rx's that are smaller than my RX-381, but I think it will still fit, a RX-471 will no problem. Kody had installed his transponder all the way up front under the steering rack and top plate, I didn't notice where Sean located his. Kody was using the standard XP servo, Sean had a s Sanwa 94647 shorty installed. In a nutshell you should be able to fit most high performance electronic packages.

Looks like I'll be camped out at OC_RC next week...

Agreed

That dorsal wing will continue to grow, we'll see a version that runs up as high as the rear wing down the center of it to the point of the body and wing having to be removed as one piece. I was putting one together for my B4.2 until i switched over to the B5.

I would never attach that wing. It would never last my driving
