My reasoning is this; when your steering is hitting the stops that ball cup should be facing rearward so in effect it can reach around the rim and not rub on it due to hard turning forces.
Of course we have seen all the pics with it facing forward so there is another engineering reason to it but I dont get it......
Please 'splain Lucy?!
answered you in the B5m thread. Its so the link can clear the shock at full lock. It doesn't rub the rim either.

It's for shock/spring clearance.

Anyone else notice the rims rub a-arms at full turn? What is that?

I have not noticed that, I would guess you have the EPA adjusted to much on your radio. I have mine set where full lock is when the 45* rod end for the steering link is horizontal with the a-arm.

thought it was said once that they were for more steering and since the push is what all the talk is about, thinking they may help. ..I don't know. ..

Yeah, I noticed that too. The picture looks funny for some reason. Whole front end looks kinda warped. Weird.

Don't believe they could help with the on power push and rear motor has plenty of entry steering already so bent arms would only make the car more difficult to drive by bringing even more steering.
