Just held one of the official B5 proto types.

Its a b4 with square pack and chassis brace like Centro & a carbon battery strap.

Will be ripping around Trcr in a few minutes..

If the axle side of the CVD, is different sized for bearings, length, or something else, maybe MIP will provide a retrofit part. Who knows.
Ya we will see. I don't want to start any arguments with anyone just wondering. I'll find out when I go to Reedy. Hopefully they will be showing it off more and answering some questions. I like the $70.00 question comment. I'm sure MIP will have new stuff for this car soon. I hope we can use more than just turnbuckles off the B4. Wishful thinking.

I already have them for my b4.2 and sc10.2. When my B5 gets here I will let you know if they fit. I am more than pleased with them so far.

Crazy to me how you guys can flat out say it won't work. Lol.
FWIW, I counted the main gear teeth on one of the B5 pics. 52T, same as the B4. Now it's just a question of bearing sizes. But, what the hell do I know. The forum is saying it won't work. Lol.

I don't have the digital with me ...

Will get images soon , anyone can do the mod.

They hacked out the rails so the square fits & used b44 battery standoffs and straps. A brace is mounted under the rear tower and connects to the b44 battery strap.

was used for determining battery position.

+1, it is for sure done with final CAD's or whatever they use. Production in Taiwan , better get done before Chinese new year .

Did hear they have a special version though that you can take a picture of yourself and have it etched on the bottom, that may not be done yet

One thing I just realized I completely missed.. Why does the MM have gullwing arms and the RM does not? I realize they know what they're doing but I'm curious about this one and why yes on one but not the other.

If you look at the pictures the new car uses a cvs pin captured by the bearing. Now matter how you look at it either the bone is longer or the out drive is. Something had to take up the difference in length. Now maybe you can get the puck out drives to fit on the new diff and then use your old hubs and bones but that's just conjecture at this point. But just from the picture I can tell it's not going to work without new bones...or using your old hubs and axles.

The outdrive slot is a lot wider to accept the pucks. Stock axle would rip out.

1. The new axle bearings are metric.
2. The car is designed to use a CVA not CVD

MIP will have to make new parts to fit the puck system on the B5.
