The C pills adjust toe-in/out and antisquat but the D pills do something different. hmmmmmm

I think I figured it out, maybe.

The C pills only go from 2.5 to 3 to 3.5 toe-in and the D pills mounted with the arrow in is equivalent to the stock mount. So if you use the 3.5 and turn the D pills facing out then i believe it will add additional .5 degree of toe for 4 degrees total. I think there are other possibilities. Hopefully one of the engineers can chime in.

FYI, the B4.2 titanium TBs will work, but they are not ideal. The TBs that come with the B5 are all 2.06 inches. The titanium TBs for the B4.2 are 2.125 and 2.25 inches. AE does make a 2.00 inch TB and Lunsford has the Losi 22 set that has six 2.00 inch TBs.

Polishing is not a great solution , just wears the shaft smaller & makes for more leaking.

The gold coating is harder then steel, smoother & wears the best.

Just make sure to buy the correct coated shafts from Ae and not the old b4 shafts.
For all of you rushing out to by the "Gold coated" V1 big bore your shafts your letting your ignorance get in the way! The shafts are not "Gold" coated it is Titanium Nitride, which in fact can make the shaft smoother, but you are not taking into consideration that the V1 shafts are STILL 2.8-2.9mm and will only give you grief. The guys at AE went to great lengths to improve on the V1 shocks and you are going to greater lengths to undo their work.

As soon as Ae makes the coated shafts available ?
I'm sticking them inside my shocks...
They offer smoother performance & less wear on the seals HAT bushings.

What do I know ?

old V2 shaft = + 3m
12m BB shaft = -3m
New B5 shaft = 3m

Use what you like , already know which is better ..

Psh im sending some to Mitch Payton so I can get that monster energy kawi fork leg coating! Haha. i know the DLC coating makes a big difference.. my dirt bike has the fork legs and shock shaft done and on the last rebuild i compaired mine to my roommates uncoated (jusy the leg sliding in the tube) and there was a big difference in stiction...

Has anyone heard when the B5m pre orders might be shipping out? I know the B5 was marked as "estimated arrival date" as March 15th on most hobby sites. But then this week I saw a bunch of guys at my track got the B5.

Was looking at tires, do dBoots 2wd front tires fit ae wheels without issue? They look a little thin like schumacher slim tires. Should I just get their 4wd tires instead?

Yes. I reamed out the rod ends a bit to allow for the short link settings. Use a body reamer

march 15th was the b5m, feb 26th was what everwhere said for the b5r.

if the b5m follows the same patern it could be as early as the coming week, but as a business model i doubt that, the earliest i think it would be would be a week before the cactus, meaning the first week in march.
