Built, raced today.
Stock Kit setup drives as good at my Dialed (hundreds of dollars bolted into it and dozens of hours driving experience) B4.2.
Well done AE.

yep, with having saddles for the b44.2 prolly just gunna go that, way got a shorty too, but i dont think you will need saddle/sq weight in the RM car. i cant say anything because i didnt preorder the RM. waiting to try the b5m first, since i never jumped on the c4.2 train, knowing it was a band-aid for ae.

This car however, is a bit heavier and beefier... Shorties might make a few practice appearances.

Is the top shaft different? Or should I say how different is the top shaft from the B4.2?

Has anyone been able to try a Square vs. Shorty back to back?

Problem is your setup for a heavier car might be different for the lighter car. It will change the balance of the car and of course the ride height will probably change. You can't just take 90-100 grams in or out of the car without making some other changes. I imagine if you are running a shorty pack you will be adding some weight back in. The weight difference between the Reedy square pack and the shorty is about 100grams. Thats like slapping a 1/4 pound hamburger patty on top of your car then taking it off.

for the price of the tlr 22 2.0. you could buy the b5 and the parts to convert it to a MM. Most club racers will run the same configuration either mm or rm. its not like your going to be converting back to back. And the 2 car thing is not new. Schumacher has 3 cars, Serpent has 2 and now AE has 2. The "new" trend is dedicated cars. The old trend is conversion cars. People need to get with the times. Most fast guys and traveling racers are going to have 2 cars anyway. Many guys have 2x 22's and 2x RB6's anyway that travel race. Heck, I even see club racers with 2x cars. If you can only afford 1 car, your best bet would be a RM car. It seems to be the chassis config that most anyone can drive well. MM seems to still be very hit ot miss depending on driving style and track/layout/traction.
