How is the fitment of the arms and hinge pins? tight? would it be prudent to get a reamer? loose front to rear or wobbly side to side?

Mine is neither. Very good fitment compared to some of the older stuff. The pins in the front bulkhead are tight but don't ream them as the arm is designed to rotate on the hinge pin, not through the bulkhead.

yeah, I know AE employees are sales people, lol. People were asking about how it compared to the centro. Most of the guys I have talked to are just as fast or faster than with the centro. I was just passing along the info. He also said ne needed a little more steering. Apparently, the car is more forgiving to drive than the b4.

I can't wait to get this thing on the track and give it a shot. Not sure what to do about a body for racing this weekend as there's no chance I get it custom painted by then. I guess I'll be another spray bomb job. I guess my plan is to take the B4.2 along with me in case I break anything on the B5 during race day.

good plan. I am pretty much done with custom paint jobs for outdoor racing. Once the sun goes down, I just plan to paint my in flo pink. everyone has silver, white, green, yellow and orange flo color covered. Solid colors are just easier to see. But I will trim the windows in white

The second B4.2 I bought on here came with an orange and pink body with black accents. I really like that scheme and plan on having a B5 body painted that way...brighter than the mostly blue and green scheme I have now.

People are forgetting that AE did not design the Centro. It was the best available mid-motor conversion for them to distribute at a time when they decided they needed to offer their racers something to keep them loyal.

Will be curious if i like it better than my Centro indoors or if mid motor is the only way to go anymore. Going to put a 10.5 in it and race 2wd mod for the first time, so it won't be apples to apples. At least that way I won't be spending extra cash to upgrade it out of the gate ...
Gonna have to let me drive it john

lol, I have not forgotten. I am not really a fan of the non oem conversions. That is the main reason I never bought an xfactory
