As long as the front shock tower and shocks are in the way, there isn't a buggy body out there that has any little hint of aerodynamic functionality. If you say there is enough times people will believe it though. You can try to justify the usefulness of a placebo all you want but it doesn't change what it is. It's not up to the doubters to prove they don't work. It's up to those who claim they work to prove they do. Someone driving 20 laps with 10 each on each body and claiming a tenth of a second improvement isn't proof. that's called margin of error. I'd need to see at least a consistent 10% improvement in times among every person who ever tried both to even begin to be convinced and it needs to be consistently repeatable. Cab forward is, was, and always will be nothing more than a stylistic fad that will be remembered alongside bell bottoms, afros, and brown tweed.
Incidentally I ran a front wing for a while on my RC10 in the 80's. I could lose just as many races with it as without!

So are you trying to say that unless everyone who runs one gets faster they are in some way a failure? No one ever said they where faster just that they had more steering. Alot of people are not going to get faster with more steering.

But whats the real debate here Fred? You claim Failure and Fad why?
