2 left hubs, no front axles or top shaft in my kit....thankfully my LHS is the shizz and gave me all the parts that were missing from the kit...got her finished last night at the track. I'm pretty impressed with the car....jumps and turns amazing. It's a little chunky at 1570 grams race ready. My Schumacher TF2 with the carbon chassis weights in at 1515.

How do you have it built out? For electronics?

1570 is not that bad. Are you using pucks or running mod? the tires you run can greatly change your weight. 2.4 vs 2.2 wheels. ss vs clay and so on.

No it's not bad...I went through my Schumacher and put her on a serious diet. There's a few things I can slim down on. Gonna be racing stock so I want to get it down to min weight. I have a lightweight VTS2 17.5 I can drop in that'll drop me 20 grams. I haven't even started looking at wheel/tire weights yet. I'm running proline prime MC's on JC 2.2" wheels

I run on a really high bite carpet track....so much bite I have to run -2 to -3 rear camber to stop the traction rolls lol

I have a sneaking suspicion I have one of these cars coming to me in the next few days, the standard B5M not the factory lite. Should I get my hands on one can you guys recommend some out of the gate things to do to improve performance? I run indoor med. traction, smooth.

Setup wise I'm thinking:

VRP X-Ring Pistons (recommended piston sizes would be a huge help)
Tekin RS Gen 2 ESC
Fantom Pro Spec 17.5
Protek 130SS
Pro-Line Electrons F/R
FTW Reactor Body
Exotek Slipper Eliminator
Exotek Top Shaft
Exotek Motor Plate
CB Custom Cut Gears

Am I on the right track?

Definitely on the right track. Other things to look at; 3 gear tranny, mip pucks, and Ti or aluminum screws. I'd also be a little nervous about using a slipper eliminator and cut gears, because the eliminator will put some extra stress on the gears. As for pistons, 3 hole 1.4's up front and 2 hole 1.6's in the rear are a good place to start

Pucks (20-30G), tape your battery in and remove the battery strap and foams (~20 grams), LP servo (20G)

Taped the battery in last night and removed the fan and screws from my R10.1 and dropped it 27.5 grams....already have the pucks ordered...might drop a 3900 mah lightweight shorty in as well...that should get me under than I can add ballast

weight your esc too. That's gotta be some weight. I was going to put in the reedy blackbox 410R, but weighed it first. Took my tekin gen2 rs out of another car and it weight 60 grams, when the blackbox was close to 120grams. I'd imagine your orion being on the heavier side too.

They could be filled with helium and actually take weight OFF my car, and I still won't run them.

Flame on! Have a great day everyone
