I was thinking of a Servo Saver horn like we used to run waaaay back.
They worked just fine then and many on-road cars use them with no ill effects. Yes I know they're just turning and at times wrecking so nothing like the rigors of off-road but I'm thinking it should hold up and do the job perfectly fine.

Does anyone know if the Tamiya Overdose is a viable option, or is it strictly for drifting?

If any of you happen to have a DEX210 forward cab body and a B5 on hand, you see if it might fit? I have a cool looking one that I'd like to try and fit while I get the B5 body painted. It looks like it might in the pictures.

600? You will need to find some stuff used for that probably or go low end.
car 239
servo $69
Esc $150
Motor $89
Radio 200
total 747

if you get these, you can get close.
You can get a good radio for about $80 Airtronics MX-V.
Get the HW Just Stock for $49
The turnigy 17.5 $40

Also, if you dont have a battery and charger, you looking at another $100+

I run the Airtronics MX-Sport and love it. It's under $100. I have an HW Justock in my old JRX2. It's a good little esc but I'd only take it down to about a 13.5T motor offroad. It has no timing adjustment of course but it's a good little esc. I run the HW V2 60A in other cars. It has worked great for me. I've never seen a need to pay more but am curious to try a Reventon Pro in my B44.1.

I agree on your electronics. But people on these forums are name brand fool with more money than sense, lol. I have tried just about every major esc maker and the HW esc's are very good and maybe the best. The mx-v is a very good radio. Many locals have tried it and like it. Those red turnigy motors are hauling butt locally. the lhs started carrying them and they sell like hot cakes. I also use the solar d770 servos. I bought 3 over a year ago and ran them in everything from 2wd buggy to 4x4 sct and no failures, but they didnt have great toque for a scte, lol.
