I've been back at this since November now, and in January bumped down to 17.5 for some closer racing. I've enjoyed it, but am now thinking of building a 2nd b5m for mod racing again, I miss the horsepower!

Looking to run my b5m on outdoors track. Medium to large format. 1/8 buggy track. Any suggestions on the performance of this kit on outdoors clay tracks? I also have the b5 rear conversion kit in case that rear configuration does better. I currently have a tekin rsx with 7.5 tekin motor and shorty pack. Also have a spare tekin rs gen 2 esc that id have to get a different motor for cuz the 8.5 motor limit.

I just ordered a b5m and some spares and gear diffs.. I'm going to use gear diffs since I'm not comfortable building and adjusting ball diffs.

is there anything I need to know about the gear diffs? where to start with oil? any tips would be great

Need more info. You really see the advantages of the gear diff when traction is high. Temp is critical too. When our track is sugared and its hot we use 7k. Springtime before we sugar and temps are lower 2-3k. Winter, ball diff.

Guys,

I called Team Associated on the B5M Factory Lite if they have them or not. They said they were supposed to have them easily by now, but this Shipping Ports Strike thing got in the way.

They don't know if it is in the USA yet on land either. Or where in terms of how close in the waters type of status.

Anybody got any ideas for increasing rear traction? Im box stock other than rear motor arms front and rear. 24mm on the ride height.

Son of a B!!!! I'm trying to wait for this kit, but I don't want to wait much longer. I may go with the Hobby Pro PRS1 if it doesn't come soon.

There was some good news last week. The dock workers unloaded the standard b5m kits that were due 3 months ago, and they are shipping out from AE now.

I would pick up a regular kit over the PRs1

For what reasons? Only thing I don't like is the tight configuration with all the electronics, oh and parts support, which is kind of a big deal.
