I think that is almost vintage in RC years. I believe i've had that since 2007??? maybe 2006?? or whenever Novak released the Velocity motors. Next payday i'll retire it once again. The other Velocity's I killed off a few years ago. They were dang good motors to me.

I just did the same thing but it's on back order. Won't be in until end of March. I just can't keep up with the Ms. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Even on carpet, I just can't get the throttle hit that everyone else does. Besides, I noticed that the guys that I used to run with are outrunning me and they don't have a motor hanging off the back of the car.

Just Picked one up from my LHS what is a good start setup for this car hard clay smooth track? My diff I did the 1/8 turn out and 30wt shock oil is this a good start? I'm gonna give it a shot at the track this weekend and see what it can do. I'm hoping I get comfortable with 1/10th 2wd since I came from 1/8th buggy thanks In advance

What is the best way to free up the car/turn in harder?

Thanks

Just picked up a nice used B5R. What if any parts are you guys finding break and I should have spares on hand. Not looking for bling upgrades.
Also shorty or square battery for tune ability or handling? I don't have a battery yet. I will mainly run on outdoor looser tracks.

Most people have gone to MM. I posted some things I liked for Indoor medium to high bite a few pages back. The big thing is, moving the weight bias forward. choose a smaller spur 78 for mod and 69 for stock. And take a look at the stuff I posted a few pages back. The car will be nothing like 8th scale. Just an FYI.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the diff gear that is listed as the part for the b5m ASC91419, and the one that was used in the b4 ASC7664? They look to be the same size (teeth wise) but I didn't know if the diff balls were located differently or the bearing sizes are different? maybe metric instead of imperial?

I'm trying to locate a set of cut/narrowed gears and all of the ones I have seen are for the B4 tranny's.

For outdoor Michigan tracks, square pack hands down! Unless you're running stock. Then go shorty.

This car is a tank! I'd just by a set of front arms and a front tower and maybe a set of steering spindles. That's it.

They are different. The B5 uses 14 diff balls and the B4 uses the old standard 12 balls.
