To run 2.5 + 1 you must have the aluminum mounts. I also run this setup with stock hubs and play with the 0 or .5 tod options depending on conditions. Your car will rotate quicker but loose some side bite. These settings are for higher traction applications. The trade off is freeing the car up so its not fighting itself. If your car is already snapping loose off 180s.. these settings will be challenging to use. Then again i would tell you to check your drivetrain for further issues.

Is it true that the B5M Lite doesn't come with any wheels unlike the regular B5M?

Thanks. I ran it a little bit this weekend with brand new dirttech inserts and dirtweb tires made a huge difference. I never went through fronts with my old b4.1 i have went through 2 sets in a couple months with the b5m.. I also lowered the ride height to 23 mm in the front and went -2 camber. I can keep my speed up now and did not loose any steering.

I think its deep but the dirt is dry and dusty so the bottom layer is pretty hard when it is not watered. seen some people use bow ties but i think most people use blockades

What are the standard places to cut/trim the chassis brace/cradle? I see on the first page of this thread a tip to cut the waterfall, but it does not say where or how much. Also, it seems that many people are cutting out the plastic between the thumbscrews in the front of the brace. Is this typical?

I'm running mod and am not looking to save weight. Just looking for any typical mods that people have found to be effective for overall performance.

thanks

First place to cut is where the waterfall meets the cradle. cut the cradle either side of the waterfall, just a small gap of 1/8" - 1/4". This will allow flex. If you need more than cut out the inner rib of the waterfall.

Conversion to mid motor. Although I now realize I am going to change it to an inline setup. My other B5M is setup standard. That Velocity 7.5 sensor wire sure detracts from the good looks. LoL. This is my daughter's ride and will get a 13.5 swapped in for the days she wants to race.
Oh and there are still a few screws to put in.

That has got to be the ugliest sensor wire ever!! J/K bud It looks great. Whenever I wire up my cars I always struggle with the sensor wires, they are ugly and always in the way.

Default Setup

I run on indoor hard packed high bite tracks. I am running white springs on both front and rear. I have a spring kit on the way. I am looking to get more steering going in and throughout the corner. I have tried adding drag brake and that helped but it still isn't great. I am running 32.5 wt oil in front. 30 wt in the rear shocks. Any help would be appreciated. What is the best way to free up the car/turn in harder?

Thanks
