I got some advice to try the kit setup. I have the aluminum rear hubs, so what does the kit setup with stock hubs translate to aluminum hubs? What hole, and how many spacers?

lol. I am feeling the same way. I thought I messed up my set up by going all through my buggy this last week. But found out I just had the wrong tire. Our track was out of Gold dirt webs so I mounted up gold barcodes. my car was off pace throughout qualifying until I found an old set of Gold dirt webs. Then it was game on.

10th scale season is done for me so if anyone is looking for a clean car, hit me up. I haven't posted it yet but I probably will in a couple days after I get a chance to clean it up and take inventory and pics. I can sell as roller or with Futaba BLS451, HobbyWing 3.1, HobbyWing 7.5T.

what size track are you on? what size motor? i ask because you may be starting out with too much speed. if you're new to racing, i'd say start in a stock spec class if possible. remember...a couple fast laps combined with a bunch of inconsistent laps will LOSE the race for you. i'm not saying drive slow...i'm saying drive consistent. it's better to have a little slower lap every time than a couple fast laps and crash every 5 laps. getting marshaled takes a lot longer than anything else lol.

i'd say first thing would be to find the best tire. meaning a good tires for the track and also your driving style. check out randy pike's tips. usually some good info in his tips. here's a link to his website. http://www.randypikerc.com/tip-of-th...he-right-tire/

my track is a small indoor track that is kinda loose with some dust on it. check out the video and let me know if it looks anything like your track. if so, pm me your email and i will send you my setup sheet. i'm no pro by any means...but the changes i made on the suspension last weekend were amazing!!

Great looking track, i wish we had something like that locally but our track is a big track mostly used for 1/8th nitro buggies the dirt is loose with low grip and pretty big jumps. I''m on a 8.5 turn motor ( most of the people are 8.5, 10 or 13.5 motors). We pretty much just have an open class cause there is not enough drivers to split it. I usually use soft blockades on the back with ribs on the front.

Still adjusting my throttle control cause i usually drive nitro.

Thanks, appreciate the advice and that link you posted has some great info.

i haven't ran much on a track like yours so i don't think i'll be much help. but i'm sure some of these B5RM guys do and should be able to give you some more guidance. also look at pro setups for tracks similar to yours

Do any of you guys race on grass or astro? Or is it mainly dirt & clay?

Over here in the UK, I mainly race on grass & astro.

I'm thinking of getting the B5M Lite to race in mod mainly due to the optional extras the kit comes with. My plan would be to try the 3 gear box first and see how I get on with it then depending on the outcome, either stick with the 3 gear box or try a 4 gear box.

My b5m kuch carbon chassis. Not it has an b4 frontend but will be fitted with an b5m. It is 4mm thick and it is superb stiff. Dont need to make any extra carbon parts to make it stiffier.
Weight is 138gr.

Is the dirt deep? Like are you able to use a Bow-Tie style tire, with large lugs?

Mainly dirt and clay but a few tracks are carpet. Grass and astro are non-existent.

Jerzi did you lay the carbon fiber yourself, or did you purchase the material?
