I don't like the idea of the aluminum wing mounts either. But I prefer securing the wing with screws and those beveled washers. Since I remove the wing quite a bit it would be nice to have a plastic mount that has metal inserts to screw into.

But, I just like to keep dirt out of my screws and my chassis looking nice.
They are not just bling, here is my logic:

- Air-planes made from 7075-T6 aluminum are super fast
- Wing mounts are made from air-plane grade aluminum 7075-T6
- You dont see too many plastic planes flying around do you?

I rest my case

Okay just pre-ordered the B5M Factory Lite kit tonight. Getting back into R/C racing after 8 years absence.

I have a never used B44 also I built in 2010 when I was intending to get back into it then. I will wait for the B54 which I believe they should call it that will come after the B44.3. Not worth upgrading really in any way, just run that one as it is.

There is a nice little indoor track in Niagara Falls, NY that I checked out last week and I need to tinker with a hobby again.

They shorten the wheelbase. What does your car do when you shorten the wheelbase?

It takes away steering and makes the car more stable. This is backwards to the rear motor cars.
