I really hope you are wrong about this one. I have been patiently waiting for the FT kit (for mod). If the next new kit is just this Lite version, I am going to be bummed.

Who wants to make a bet about there being a Factory Team car besides the Lite?
I think we will see one, and when we do the Team car will phase out as someone else already said. Factory Team version would come with aluminum bellcranks, aluminum shock caps, aluminum shock bushings, aluminum rear arm mounts, clamping hex axles front and rear, and maybe include the the Lite chassis and parts for both 3 gear and 4 gear transmissions.

Stadiumrc is right there are still a lot of parts that the FT car should come with. The team car will become the RTR car. the lite car will be marketed to stock and the FT to mod.

What exactly does the FT car need?

I dont see how mod needs any other stuff. Please explain why each of those are required for Mod?

I didn't say mod needed the parts but the FT cars usually come with all the hopups available. The lite is obviously geared to stock racing the FT would be the total package for any class but since mod is the elite class the elite car would be marketed that way

I highly doubt you will see a car with every upgrade on them. Who knows, I never thought a "Lite" version geared towards stock would come out. But I would not hold your breath on a Full FT version any time soon. Many people dont like the alum rear hubs or hard parts. And alum/Ti screws might be a support nightmare for them. Can you imagin all of the people not prethreading the platics and using power tools to put their car together. Then crying to AE when it all goes wrong. I was surprised the lite didnt come with the CF strap. But most of the stock guys I know remove the strap and foams and tape the pack in anyway to save 20 grams. The alum steering is meh. Not even an upgrade IMO, just bling. And the alum front axles? Who knows, they might be good...or shitty. Time will tell. I have the alum shock caps and I took them off my car. I like the plastic ones better. But the alum caps dont slope out like the plastic ones do.

It's been years since a FT came with aluminum shock caps and aluminum screws and "hard parts" though.

Just my opinion and what I think a FT kit should come with.

hey guys...i am almost done building my B5.

question for you guys...what gearing are you running on 17.5T motors?

the gearing chart says to run a 23T pinion with a 78T spur gear (not included in the kit)...but while building the kit it says use the included 72T spur with stock racing.

I am running a 17.5 and a tekin rs gen2 in mine. since i don't have the 78t spur...i figure i would start with a 26t pinion with a 72t spur...?

p.s. i'm still in the process of painting the car stand...don't judge me lol
