In this case the T5M is obsolete already and its not even released yet lol! Just get the T5M "lite" ( if the make it) and add weight! It's $ making at its best..
The Lite car is strictly geared for stock and comes with a few things I wouldn't want on my mod car including the 3 gear tranny, alum front axles and the milled chassis... However, we may end up running that chassis.

I'd be willing to bet there's a factory team car right around the corner...

Did anyone already mention how the Lite car comes with shorter turnbuckles? I built my original B5M with those shorter links and my cups out of the kit have been as smooth and free as they get since day one!

So u think there will be 3 B5M's. Why?
3 gear is not strictly for stock racing, we've been using 3 gear for many years in mod. And aluminum front axles don't matter stock or mod

The original is just a team car which is always the first offering from AE = the basic kit. Then comes the factory team car... The Lite car is a new offering for the ever booming (weight crazed) stock guys.

The Factory team car will be the all around racer kit, the team kit will fade away and then there'll be RTR's with all basic parts that were in the team kit.

Didnt AE say there would be no FT car? Aside from maybe the 4 gear tranny, I think the rest of the Lite car is fine for mod. If you want more weight, their are brass tuning parts and lead for that

+1000
The only thing missing is the C/F battery brace, the "lite" is the factory team

One of our local AE sponsored guys was running the 3-gear in modified last night, didn't seem to give up anything to the 4-gear anywhere.

It's like everyone forgot that we've been running the 3 gear forever! Lol
