10-4. I appreciated the input.

I have heard others around my local track saying they are running gear diffs, but not sure what class they are in or what kind of horsepower they have.

air8, you may be over-doing it with your ball diffs. All that's necessary is build to the instructions and a small break-in after installing (one wheel on the table, one in the air, 1/4 throttle for 30-60 seconds, do once on each side if you want to be really thorough). As long as the slipper breaks loose before the diff, then the diff should last as long as the lube in it is good, which can be a long time. I don't work on my cars at home, ever.

Wallie may not have done well at the Reedy race, but if there was a best whip contest.. He would rock it.

I know HOW to whip an RC car, but I don't have the BRAIN to make it all come together in that short period of time.

Vito, the most notable parts on the new car (in my opinion) are:

- 3 gear transmission
- HD rear axles
- Light chassis

What other upgrades if any are needed for the new lite car, to run 17.5 competitively?

If it still comes with the VTS slipper, that thing is pretty heavy, many run an eliminator, but I like the triad/nova style one myself.

Probably a set of pucks, an overboard charger and an infinite amount of the best batteries you can buy.

the "Lite" car comes wit ha V2 slipper, not VTS. so better, but not great. I would still get the Avid Triad EVO
