So I just got the x-factory chassis,mip alum topshaft,mip pucks and a Team Scream 17.5.should I run the inline setup......and what do you guys think I should start at for gearing??????thanks for the input.

yeah, jumping am MM car is so easy. jumps so flat. less scrubbing and pitching to make it fly right

I like inline a lot. But definitely try both. Gearing depends on track size and some other factors, but 72 32 isn't a bad place to start. Or you could even try 64p!
And schelle slipper eliminates a good amount of rotating mass. Something to look in to before buying your gears.

I'm not experiencing that yet. In my case both RM and MM handle great, but MM does not go as far or high. I developed a pucker factor as my third qual and then the main went on.

I'm could agree with tire spin. Because sometimes the MM car would break traction and regain in one instant on the two 180 corners our layout has.

More drive time will reveal what I need...either mental or actual setup. LoL

Checking into see what is the preferred orientation for the aluminum rear ball stud mount. +2m or -2mm?
Building mostly to a Cav setup sheet which says (Low +3mm) of which I'm not fully understanding.

That means go with the -2mm orientation on the mount, but with 3mm of washers on the ballstud.

Low +3mm means flipped upside down -2mm +3mm equals +1mm on stock brace

So mount goes -2mm, so the taller side is down.
Then add 3mm of shims under the ball stud.
You could go +2mm and only put 1mm under the ball stud. both would be the same height.

Are you sure? I thought -2mm was 2mm below stock and +2mm was 2mm above stock. So -2 +3 would be 1mm higher than stock, and +2 +1 would be 3mm higher than stock.

I want that mip 3 gear. It looks stellar. Am I correct in assuming that it weighs more than the ae 3 gear? I want a ill more weight back there.
