Nice!! Is there much weight balance change, side to side with 3-gear to 4-gear?

I have bought both ceramics and do like the avid site and picking your kit. I like shelle for rebuilding diff, even ran Acers off eBay which came with steering rack ceramic bearings which was cool. I thought about trying AE ceramics next.

I have had three sets in the front axles that spin free and one set real notchy from git go. When I rebuilt the front on the notchy car I threw away all the old stuff but the bearings and tried the JC front axle and it was notchy. I tossed the bearings and put in new ones and they spun free. So I couldn't tell if it was the bearings from the start or something with the plastics. It is a little hit and miss on front builds.

I did not have time to put it on the scales, but it does not appear to be offset any more/less than the 4 gear, I probably should have the receiver on the other side, but the wires were already in place

I would assume three gear is a little lighter then four gear?

Well shifting the lipo forward will definitely kill rear traction. Maybe use a square lipo in stock configuration?

I have run all configurations, and overall, this is best, depends on the track really, some days its not an issue, some days we can run slicks, and sometimes we can't.

I have had good results in high bite tracks with his setup.
I run on a med bite, outdoor track now. Rear traction is still ok, but I am thinking about moving the battery back and putting the ESC on top of the battery for some testing. Maybe in front of the battery as well.
I do not want to go back to the sideways mount on the battery.

Why would you not buy the factory team motor plate?

I was wondering the same thing. Got all the 3 gear parts in today except the motor plate, that's on preorder from Tower. Haven't seen any in stock anywhere.

The exotec was released 36 hours ago from what I understand.my question is how do people all ready have a motor plate with shipping there no way.and besides the motor plate in the pic I've seen of friends that already have it together its not the exotec plate. I was just wondering if people have been moding the regular ones.and if so how.
