2000 diff oil seems to mimick a ball diff pretty well where I run. I tried everything from 500 to 5000 and 2000 seems to be my sweet spot. I run exactly the same setup on my car and turn the same lap times as I do with a ball diff.

Easiest method would be to follow the manual recommendations, and adjust on feel and temp from there.

I personally gear my stock b5m at 69/31 with about 40 degrees of can timing.

here's a pic of it just for fun.

Thumbs up

This car is an absolute blast. I had a B4.1 years ago and thought that was a good car. But this thing is a tank. I haven't raced offroad in nearly 7 years. My first race out with this car I won the B and bumped to the A. Never finished due to my servo came loose in the mount. And have race 3 races since then and have not finished any lower than winning the B.

Very well balanced car.

What Schuur Speed are you using? I had one for a year and it was so fast..I decided to go with the Mach 2 for a change though. And where do you race?

Looking for some gearing advice. Large indoor clay track, Orion 8.5, R-10 pro, short pack. Probably going to use the Schelle slipper.

I run a signature series 17.5t like it much better than my mach 2. I race at OCRC in Southern California

Kind of figured from the Reedy stand. Thinking about getting a new Schuur Speed depending on how I like the Mach 2.

So half the indoor winter season in the books and I still have my B5M. Never liked Associated stuff but this car makes it hard for me to switch to another 2wd buggy. So far it has been the best 2wd buggy I have ever ran and I tried many different ones but this thing makes me look good. I just make very little tweaks to it and it just keeps getting faster. Can't really ask for much more than that. Associated did their homework when they designed this car.

Yea they did I love this car. I have never been a big AE fan but they got this one right. I hope they put the same effort into there new 1/8th buggy. The one they have now is a pos. It's gonna have to be real good to pry the kyosho out of my hands though.
