on our clay track broke in typos and clay slicks are vastly different. slicks have a ton of grip and my rear never breaks loose. If I try "treaded" clay tires, traction drops off a lot. I dont run on your track, just saying those 2 can be vastly different. I assume you have the RM arms and rear hubs forward and are running 4mm trailing?

Got a trinity ti xl 3400 shorty and wondering what u guys do to secure it in the car? Its way too thin for the stock battery hold down system. Is there another hold down made specifically for the thin pack or do I just need to stack and pack foam? I tried flipping the stock hold down upside down but it is still a little too loose for my liking.

This. Same experience if you try going to green springs in the rear on anything but a low traction track.

The 3x1.4s offer a different high speed vs normal damping profile than the 1.6s. A lot of folks tend to interchange the 2x1.6 and the 3x1.4 with the same oil and it just doesn't work out exactly the same, even though they appear very similar on the bench. The 2 hole piston has larger steps in low speed damping with oil, and 30wt oil in it is thicker "in the corners" than with the 3 hole piston. That has been my experience at least. I tend to use the 3x1.4 pistons in the rear on our looser outdoor track, sometimes even tapered ones, and prefer the 2x1.6 flats in the rear when indoors where the traction is much higher.

I run the promatch racing 3500 and use one of the thinner battery foams on top the battery. Not ideal but it works.

I run a piece of foam on top between the battery and brace .....

you can trim down the battery posts a little so it will go lower. And flip over the hold down nuts. I only had to trim off 1/8 of and inch.

RM = rear motor car front arms?
Rear hubs forward = more rear traction.
please explain the 4mm of trailing.

wondering if anyone has any good setups? im running the box setup but not having much luck car is loose and pushing real bad. i run on a small indoor tight hard packed dirt track using super soft electrons. any help please.
