Just curious, why does the team associated drivers in the Reedy Race continue to use the b4.2/c4 when there is already the b5/b5m?

I would assume that since this buggy has been announced they would be showcasing it in this important race.

this has been covered to no end... even I tire of this discussion. AE is not ready to race the car yet, nor are the drivers. From what I hear, they will be running the b5 at the next big race or at least by cactus

in the interview discussing the composite vs aluminum, it didn't sound to me like they had a problem getting the composite stiff enough, he mentioned that where the motor needed to go that they couldn't get any gussets in that area for strength, so I took as more of a durability issue over a stiffness issue, actually the term may have been "ribbing"

correct. They use the aluminium chassis because it is easier to find a stiff, durable and clean design.

from interview with kody at the reedy.

"Responsible for working on the Associated B5, asked why they aren’t running the new car he said it was down to simply a lack of cars to distribute to their team drivers with only one full car currently in existence."

Just cause I havent seen anyone post the link for the full article with the 3 videos from Rc Car Action here it is:
http://www.rccaraction.com/blog/2014...c10b5-and-b5m/

Regarding BRSracings statement about the B5M being under development for as long as the B5, the interview makes it sound as though the separate B5m platform came along a lot later.

I also feel that from the interview and the fact that they dont enough cars/parts to run at the Reedy Race that the posted dates on AMAIN for late Feb for b5 and march for b5m are probably pretty close
