Simmering would likely open up the pours in the plastic/nylon allowing the moisture to be absorbed better.
All of this happening at the microscopic level obviously.
Like you said you're being serious, and it does work. The age of the part has an affect on how noisy they are as well. A spur that's been hanging on the HS wall for 2 years may be noisier than one ordered direct from the manufacturer last week.

I would simmer them..Not a rolling boil or that might cause distortion, but not likely.

Hows the inline setup working for everyone? Is it worth the gains in both classes? Is it easier to drive? Or is it like relearning how to drive a mm all over again? Just getting used to learning how to drive this buggy and I'm getting pretty fast... Just was so used to rm i almost stayed with it. Is the mod worth the gains or stay with current setup?

I have only seen 1 guy try it and like it. I think most everyone in my locale tried it and we all went back to the sideways battery with the ESC up against it. Either that or the kit setup which works just fine IMO

From Tebo's facebook page. "RB6 is dialed today at KCRC."
Losi is stuck with inline because of their chassis but with all the side weight they add they are trying to simulate a wider weight to the chassis. If you watch Cavaliera drive with the standard chassis you realize that practice is all we all really need to go faster.

I tried my electronics 3 different ways and I always preferred the kit setup with some slight modification to move the ESC further back. Car reacts quickly but is still very stable
