you "could" use the same tower with each arm....who knows, maybe the narrow tower and gulwings will be good , none of us know for sure

super soft compound seems to be tire of choice at sdrc and depending on prep you can use clay, i'd assume ocrc would use primarily clay compound

yeah on the buggy it doesnt look like it is as much of a difference as it was on the sc10 and sc10.2 gullwing setup (the difference between left and right top mounts that is)

A bell crank would easily achieve that but being as we had no off-road tracks I converted it to on-road and whooped everyone in every class with it. Install the wing and you could gun it at will. You'd never imagine how much difference a wing makes.

Love it! I wish I still had my RC10. I sold it when I was 15 for $500 with all the goodies and bought a Honda Spree with the money. That was 23 years ago. Wish I still had it.

I have a rear shock tower that allows shorter shocks to be ran on the back. I ran a late model body on my graphite RC10 when we raced on carpet in the winter.(1986-1990) I still have everything.....somewhere.

"The mid-motor car will probably an advantage everywhere"...I thought that was a huge statement from the first video...

In the interview they said they were able to get the molded chassis stiff enough for the RM and although they would have much preferred a molded chassis on the MM, the design didn't allow for that so they were forced to the aluminum chassis. So I suppose they could make a molded chassis for "more flex" or "moar traction", maybe.

Very nice so they did seize the opportunity to make the transmission better in more ways than one.

Very nice AE....

I also thought that was a bold statement. I wanted to ask him, if that is true, why bother with a rm car.

I laughed at that part too. But what I also noticed in all the videos is how smooth it looks landing. They all say it lands better, and I believe them just from the clips

Wider gears is more weight and friction. Not a plus in 17.5

I agree. I have never driven a mid motor car but that statement had me momentarily regretting my rear motor pre order.

Just saw the driving video shot at SDRC. Wow, b5m looked WAY better than the b5r. Much better rotation in corners and lands better... and having personally raced at SDRC, it's not a high traction surface. The track is a mixture of clay and dirt so it's more medium. B5m looked to have plenty of traction.

Personally, if the video is a good indication of how it drives, I wouldn't even bother with the rear motor car since I only drive on clay.
