They easily could have had over a month with these cars. And as stated above, for these guys thats more than enough time to get the car dialed, especially if they started with a good neutral set up from the Centro and adjusted from there. It would have been easy for AE to set the rules, no pics, no talking or we will not use your facility again, and having your facility in the promo vids would be pretty cool advertisement.

Anyone remember the new Kyosho Lazer at worlds? No time to test/tune = setting yourself up for failure.

The fact is, I am sure AE would love to debut their new car at their own race. If they are not debuting it, then I am sure they have good reasons.

Btw, I lived in Mesa for about 8 years, was back last week on vacation and got to check out Warehouse 3 in Surprise. Pretty sweet track. Good people and a fun layout. Ever been?

I assumed it was an R10 Pro. According to A Main the 160amp & 120amp units are the same size.

I only looked at the one photo and saw the Orion. I was not aware AE was making/rebranding ESC's.

Meh, at the moment I figure there's 68mm in width & about 40mm in depth.

True that! I agree with you there! I'm just saying that I'm sure both ryan's would make the a-main but AE has its reasons, and one of them is to probably win outright on the car's debut, not just make it to the a-main

It's out all ready, but it's called an orion, uh I mean Speed Passion, uh I mean Hobbywing.

I love how some folks get so worked up about these ESC's because of the brand name. Orion is $20-$30 more than Hobbywing which is $20-$30 (or more depending on their sale for a given week) more than the SP. The Orion programer is 3X the cost of the SP & does the exact same thing. Tekin, Viper, Castle, & Hobbywing, everything else is a clone or a rebrand.

Not so much "worked up"... more so "curious", but thanks for the input.

I simply asked which esc would fit and for some recommendations. I'm done with the turnigy stuff and ready to spend some money, just not sure where to spend it. Is that a better format of a question for you?
