I'll take another picture without the wheel and post it.

Yeah, your hubs are backwards. Excuse the dirtiness of my buggy. Ran yesterday.

Not all rear hubs have the lettering. The lettering is for the RM buggy. It's switched for the MM

Has anyone tried either the RCShox or CSI pistons with this car? I have a set of RCShox two stage pistons that I'm gonna try in this buggy next rebuild. I tried CSI blues in my B4.2 when I had it and really liked them, just didn't like the car

Hi guys. I'm thinking of getting back to offroad and Spyder seems to be a great car. I have some questions:
1. What tires would you use for indoor, medium size, slick, med-high traction track?
2. I see some option weights I can put in the car. Do you guys use it a lot? The part "Serpent SRX2 MM Ballast Weight"- where in the car is this used? Rear? Front? Can't find the reference. What about brass pivot holder?
3. Do you have to use roll bars a lot? The kit obviously doesn't come with it.
4. What is the benefit of using "Steering arm brass" over plastic? I guess I'm asking about weight effect. I don't use any aluminum parts on arms for obvious reason. Would you say the same?
5. What is the good starting FDR for the above track for 17.5T and 13.5T?
6. Do you feel the need of changing kickup a lot from the kit setup?
7. I heard the shock orings are very prone to leaking. Would you recommend to get different orings? Onroad black orings have the same issue.

Sorry about lots of questions. I'd appreciate your help.

You really do not need any options. That's the great thing about this car. A good safe tire would be a m4 electron or dirt webs.

1. How is it slick and med/high traction?
2. I used the balance weight when I needed more traction. It goes in front of the motor on the chassis. Screws in with 2 M3x8 BH screws I think.
3. Probably not on those conditions. I do use roll bars on a super high-traction carpet track though.
4. Brass steering arms give more steering over the plastic. I haven't personally used them. I use the aluminum bulkhead.
5. I'm running about 5.3-5.4 for 17.5 on a small indoor track. Novak says 7.0 for 13.5 so probably 6.5
6. Some setups are using different kickups but in order to change it, you either need the aluminum or brass front bulkhead AND the proper hinge pin holder.
7. That's true. They might be okay now but I'd replace them with the Traxxas X-rings out of the box. Cheaper than Kyosho. Read the FAQ's for some build tips and tools needed.

Sign up for the FB group if you're on FB. It's 1000x better than the forum for this buggy.

A lot of the quotes by Billy were actually made on the FB page. That's the kind of info that we get there and not here.
