B54 is my guess.

Really hope they go for a new chassis to go with the new 2wd cars. Metric and light. And above all. Much more easy to maintain. Time for a new car now.

I keep holding off on a wheeler because I'm hoping for an AE wheeler kit update. I run tlr 2wd, but not sold on dropping over 450 on the 22-4 that is loaded with new platform issues. (I see it daily at my local tracks).

Right now Durango 410v4 or waiting on a new AE.

AE dropped the cost last week on the B44.2 by a fair amount. A new kit is probably on the way.

As I understand it the .3 version will be longer than .1 but shorter than .2.

They are testing everything in between the 44.1 and plus 8 chassis to find whats best.

Yes B44 & B44.1 still carried over quite a few parts, but the B44.2 has only a few parts.
Best off to go and sit your BJ4 next to a B44 and clearly see the differences.

B44.2 discontinued

What's next?

B44.3 Worlds edition or B54?

Changes?

Aluminum chassis
Gear diffs
Metric
Stronger front arms
Stronger tie rod ends

So why not make wheelbase adjustable. Would save us all some dremel time.

Don't HB and Xray already make better B44's?

And it must be possible to close the body bether around the chassis, to keep dirt bether outside.

I don't like An Undertray to keep dirt outside.

I have a 22-4 and I have to completely disagree with you that the platform is "loaded with new platform issues". The inner front hinge pins were a problem with a $6 fix. The front bulkhead seems to come in a new plastic now. The layshaft bearings should be upgraded asap as they "only last" about 20 hours of runtime before wearing down (not a flaw IMO, just as racers are throwing out the B5 and B5M stock bearings for a better quality). I recently pulled my drivetrain apart after an approximate 20 hours and the belts and pulleys still looked new. Oh - the rear axles did snap for some but that's been solved. Basically if you go buy a kit today, I don't think there are any issues. Anyway, a couple of small things but not loaded and all of the ones that I've heard about are solved.

As long as it's as durable as the B5 and makes equivalent grip for a 4wd that the B5 does for a 2wd, along with more steering (if that's possible) - that would be killer.
