Default ROAR members - 1/8E OffRoad Statistics ?

Hi,

I'm French and I'm searching for some informations about the ROAR, and the American 1/8 Electric Offroad market.

1 - I can't find the number of ROAR members.
2 - Do you have any statistics on the total distribution of the racers, for each class ? I'm searching for the approximative number of 1/8 Offroad drivers for all the US.

I'm talking about 1/8 Offroad class, and especially the Electric Class :

3 - Do you have any recent cars statistics of your local races, all over the USA ?

Thanks
Bye !

I don't have any 'official' statistics but here go my answers.
1/8 Electric participation varies quite a bit from state to state. It seems to be more popular in the states where it snows as an alternative to running nitro indoors when it is cold out. I live in Michigan and it is pretty popular here.
I attended the ROAR 1/8 Electric Nationals in Pennsylvania this summer and there were almost 200 entries including Pro 4 Short Course.

Hi Dakotah,

Thank you for your answer.
I can say that there are 10 000 members at the FFVRC, the French federation, and 300 clubs, this is what I'm searching for the US...
I wanted to post you an example of the cars statistics during one of the major 1/8 Electric Offroad races (championship) here in France, but I can't find the picture. I just have the Lipos picture, so I let it here, and if you have any stat like this, it will be interesting too.

Lipos Statistics in France :

Bye !

You could try contacting ROAR
http://www.roarracing.com/?page_id=76
Very few people can give you the detailed info you desire and I doubt they spend much time here. Other than Rick....

Roar members are not tracked by class. If you email [email protected], he can probably give you attendance stats from registration at national events. Like Dakota said, the east coast has a high number of 1/8th electric racers and as you move across the country the numbers tend to drop off. I think the electric Nats in Texas next year will spur the numbers in that area of the country.
