TTech did a similar design over 5 years ago on the original predator. They did it years and years before traxxas even thought about it.

yep! it's still has the same concept as the first predator

-tub chassis
-inboard shock configuration
-arms captured on the chassis

alot said that this is the first true shaft touring car and where AE got the inspiration when the TC3 was still on the drawing board

KSI- what Tamiya car are you talking about?

I thought that the first off road attempt (inboard shock configuration) was from Schumacher with his first Topcat.
But i can be wrong...

The first off roader I can think of that had dual inboard shocks was the Schumacher Top Cat circa 1989

Good call I should've remembered the Sidewinder, I've got enough pictures of one on my PC

They were originally out around 1983 I think? Probably the first car with threaded shock bodies too.

As for the Pred...

I'm a little disappointed really, the quality looks a lot better (we'll know for sure once they hit the tracks), but there seems to be little development in the design of the car, the steering system being the obvious exception.

Are they still going to use that awful linkage going from the servo to the steering bellcranks?

And some pics of the gearbox internals would've been nice
