First lets start with your Lipo, Charge it run it, then let it cool some. Charge it ,run it let it cool . Charge it, run it let it cool.... Sometimes good to have 2 Batt. Evry time you race a Heat you need to charge it after. Always balence.
Now your Gearing Pinion 14T stock Sper.
Now the RX8
Lipo 2 cell
Foward/ Break
Netural with 5-10 ( I like 5)
Throttle Profile 3
Throttle min 5
Current limit 80%
Brake force 65
Brake min 5
No timing no boost Make sure your esc is updated and you have all the TX values MAX. Then reprogram trigger.
What lipo do you run?

i run the venom 2s 30c.. and i have 3 batteries and so far the 2 i have been using have done that after 3 charges.. they balance again but just seems odd to me that they would run the balanced charge on the car and use both cells efficiently.. and is it easier to do all of this with hotwire? or do it manually on the esc?
Thats what I have always been told with a Pro4 motor on an RX8
That being said the above settings will be just right for you, just remember NO TIMING! You dont need it and it will just make your motor run hotter with no benefits.

thats part of your problem, low end packs in the class that needs nothing but the best. I would suggest SMC packs (the cheapest spot to get the packs made by the best manufacturer), the 5600mah saddle or 7200mah stick depending which pack style you run. Hard wired with deans is ideal due to the abuse those trucks take. Having packs get that out of balance is the cells not matched by resistance as good as they should be, low C packs just amplifies that. If you want to continue running those packs, set the LVC to 3.5v/cell+ and put the current limiter down to 50. You'll need a hotwire to change most of those settings.

With your set-up I myself wouldn't run anything lower than a 50C pack!

and also where is the best place to buy batteries?

Forget DEANS thats so yesterday... look into 5mm bullets direct from ESC

the SMC 7200mah is ROAR legal and the best pack out there. Danny did some testing on 4mm vs 5mm bullets and there's no advantage, his testing shows that how tight they fit will effect the resistance, not so much the size between the 2. Hardwired (like deans) is lower IR then bullets. www.smc-racing.com is the place to check out.
