Thinking about a Tekin
I have a Losi SCTE and am thinking about changing motors and maybe even esc's. I have been looking at the Tekins but can't make up my mind about which one looks like the best one. Between the SC4X, Pro4 or the Pro4HD what is everyone running?

Don't really hear much about the sc4x, on the other hand you can't go wrong with the pro4 or pro4 hd

Depends on your needs, are you going to be racing? If you are, i wouldn't bother with the HD. Too much power. That said, the pro4 is already borderline too much power for my SC104x4. you might also find that there are some restrictions for 550 4Pole motors where you race

Pair it with an RX8 Gen 2, run the current limiter at 75-85 range, NO timing, and gear it 14/40. This will be a good all-around starting point.

Yea I was set on the pro4 hd cause cooler temps and more power for times I want to bash, but I race a lot to and want to start getting into big races so might just use the pro4 4600 in my tekno

Pro4HD is too much IMHO. You need to limit it to 30% on your esc, otherwise itll just spin the tires. The regular Pro4 is more than enough. SC4X was more for the lighter vehicles like the SC10 4x4 and the Durango.
